Where To Eat?There are so many delicious restaurants right across Bern, and they are just right outside the hotel. Some of them are:
Pizza Nova –
I would suggest visiting Pizza Nova quite often because of their amazing pizzas and they are famous not only here but everywhere. Every pizza is fresh made in every restaurant and eaten over several rounds in the kitchen and you can get your bottle of beer while eating the pizza and share it with your friends!
Denny’s Deli –
A staple of the American South, Denny's Deli is found along U.S Route 91. This restaurant serves freshly prepared American food with high-quality ingredients! The menu includes Chicken McNuggets, Steamed Rice Blimp Buns, Chops, Salad Greens, Caesar Salad, Shrimp Scampi, Beef Rind Chili Macaroni, Chicken Fajitas, Pulled Pork Pibilz, Salads, Burgers, and Grilled chicken. All of these foods are served with sides of chili salsa, lettuce, and cheddar cheese sauce. After some drinks, you'll just sit around and watch the commercials.
The German Cafe –Situated at #25 Bern, 4 Freund Street, Bern im Recht, this German cafe offers a wide range of fresh German food including hot and cold sandwiches, pork sausage steaks, meatballs, sausages, potatoes, salad, and other delicacies.
Pizzeria Le Coq de l'Armee –
The Le Coq de l'Armee is situated inside the historic building housing the "Museum" with the first exhibition center and also houses the museum itself! Its Michelin Star restaurant features classic menus, all prepared by the chef who knows and loves his work. Amongst the most popular dishes are Chicken Mushroom Pasta, Sweet Potato Cheeseburgers, and Pan Fricassanti. Le Coq de l'Armee is located next door to the Museum and in addition to its two restaurants, there is also a coffee shop, bar, and wine cellar.
Where To Drink?
There are so many bars in Switzerland, and you can't miss trying these beers:
Zimmerling beer –
We would suggest trying some of the finest craft beers in the universe since Switzerland is a pioneer of brewing techniques and brew making. Take a shot at Zimmerslinger beer since it is made using traditional methods and takes ages and years to ferment and transform into pure gold.
Wine/Beer Tastings –
It is always fun to taste and enjoy your drink while exploring this fascinating part of Switzerland! Not only that but you will discover something unfamiliar, but it is also an opportunity to learn about this amazing beverage and appreciate its history and tradition. So I would recommend going to your favorite wine tasting while you are in Switzerland, where you are allowed to taste four different types! You’ll experience something new and unusual here!
How To Get Around? The fastest way to get around Switzerland is basically by riding a bus. However because traveling by bus is not easy, you’ll need to take public transportation to your destinations. The cheapest fare at the airport is 1.95 euros (approx. $1), however, on a bus, it can cost up to 6 euros for a single trip.
Where To See? Places To Visit in Zurich.
There are so many sights, museums and cultural areas in Switzerland! My recommendation for seeing in Switzerland is to get a ticket to the Louvre Museums, which is located in Paris, France on National Mall. Or you can book tickets to the Galleria Della Modena Della Valle, which houses 150+ galleries from 10 different countries. What about touring with a guided tour? Yes, guided tours have been available for some time in the United States. However, in Switzerland, there are very strict rules regarding these tours to maintain safety first. So my recommendation is to just buy tickets online for those tours.
These museums are not for beginners. I’m sure you’ll never guess that they were created to educate people about the past – to preserve and present important historical events in the past. Let's just say that these museums could teach you some interesting facts about the ancient world and the lives of the artists who used to live in the Middle Ages. It is one of the oldest arts organizations in the world, so it's a must-see experience especially if you want to learn a bit more about the artwork from medieval times and how people have changed over the years. I would recommend heading to the Citi museum if there are cultural centers near you or if you are looking for affordable tickets to an art gallery in Old Switzerland. You can also rent a car and drive around Switzerland. While you're driving, make sure that you always keep your eyes peeled for license plates and double-check that you're in the correct location before giving someone your number! I’m sure you always thought about that when you get in a taxi, but you should never do it again — and don't ever give your personal information to anyone!
Where To Shop?
If you want to get lost in Switzerland shopping while traveling this is your chance. Shopping for souvenirs, jewelry, etc. is always popular in Switzerland. While in Switzerland, you will be able to visit shops such as Zalando, L’Occitane, Cartier, and Louis Vuitton stores. Since Switzerland is considered a minimalist country, these shops often don’t sell a lot of products but still offer some pretty rare and trendy items. On top of that, even though there are plenty of boutiques in Switzerland, the fact that you don’t need a suitcase doesn't stop you from buying.
